Music therapy
In music therapy, existing resources can be discovered and new, creative ways of dealing with problems can be found. Depending on the therapy goal, different methods are used.
In addition to language, you can make music and improvise on instruments, that are often easy to play, sing or listen to music (from a recording or played by the music therapist).
Music therapy takes place within a therapeutic relationship in a save place. When working with young children or people where speaking is no longer possible, music therapy offers non-verbal, musical opportunities to come into contact with one another in a playful way.
Through music you can gain access to your own feelings and express them with the help of music. For music therapy it is not necessary to have previous musical knowledge or musical talent. Rather, through music therapy, a creative process is set in motion that is inherent in every human being.
